1. Get Creative with Color
Does the word “greige” make your teeth itch? Unless you work in a hip, creative office -- in which case you probably wouldn’t even have a cubicle to begin with -- it’s likely that the components of your space are some shade of neutral. (Read: BOR-ing!) Adding color to the cube will instantly refresh it, so that should be Step number one.
Of course, you’re not going to be able to paint or permanently alter things. But you can use wallpaper, fabric by the yard, or even heavy-duty wrapping paper to completely change the vibe inside your cube. Go nuts and cover every vertical surface, or stick to an “accent wall”-- usually the surface(s) that your desk faces, so it can bring a smile to your face every time you look up from your monitor.
