David Corenswet stars as the hopeful, new face of Superman. He is best known for his roles in Netflix’s “The Politician” and “Hollywood.” In this 2025 adaptation, expect a grounded but idealistic Superman who’s both human and heroic.
2. Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane
Lois Lane is the fearless investigative journalist and Clark’s girlfriend, known for her relentless pursuit of truth. Brosnahan won an Emmy for her role as Midge Maisel in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and has also appeared in “House of Cards” and “Manhattan.”
3. Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor
Nicholas Hoult is set to portray Superman's brilliant and ruthless arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor. Hoult previously played Beast in the X-Men franchise and starred in “The Great,” “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Renfield.” Though he originally auditioned for Superman, Director James Gunn cast him as Lex for the controlled intensity he brings to the character.
4. Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific
Edi Gathegi joins the cast as the intelligent and resourceful superhero Michael Holt, also known as Mister Terrific. Gathegi is widely recognized for his roles as Laurent in the "Twilight" film series and as Darwin in "X-Men: First Class."
5. Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho
Anthony Carrigan will play Rex Mason, the shapeshifting hero Metamorpho. Carrigan is perhaps best known for his Emmy-nominated performance as NoHo Hank in "Barry” and his recurring role as the villain Victor Zsasz in "Gotham."
6. Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern
“The Rookie” star Nathan Fillion takes on the role of the superhero Green Lantern, Guy Gardner. He is also known for playing Captain Malcolm Reynolds in the sci-fi series "Firefly" and its film continuation, "Serenity." He also led the ABC crime drama "Castle" as Richard Castle.
7. Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl
Isabela Merced embodies the immortal airborne warrior Hawkgirl. Merced rose to fame following her roles in “Transformers: The Last Knight” and “Dora and the Lost City of Gold.” She’s recently starred in “Alien: Romulus” and the latest season of “The Last of Us.”
8. Wendell Pierce as Perry White
Esteemed actor Wendell Pierce steps into the role of Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet and Clark and Lois’s boss. Pierce’s notable roles include portraying Detective Bunk Moreland in “The Wire,” James Greer in “Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan” and Robert Zane in “Suits.”
9. Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen
Skyler Gisondo is cast as Jimmy Olsen, the enthusiastic young photographer and friend of Clark Kent. Gisondo is recognized for his comedic roles, such as Eric Bemis in "Santa Clarita Diet" and Gideon Gemstone in "The Righteous Gemstones."
