1. Javvy
Sure, you could grab a quart of Javvy’s coffee concentrate (which looks downright delicious of its own accord), but you could also pivot to their packs of protein coffee, which contain 10g of protein, 0g of sugar and prebiotics! Yep — a coffee promoting gut health. Plus, their flavors don’t mess around: Choose from sugar cookie, tiramisu, iced cinnamon roll, coconut mocha and more!
2. Slate
Slate goes one step further with their protein coffee: They put it in a can, so you can grab and go, go, go. With five flavors (caramel latte, french vanilla, vanilla latte, mocha and classic chocolate), a whopping 20g of protein and as much, if not more, caffeine as your typical grande latte, it checks all boxes. Oh, and they usually clock in at just 100 calories and 1g of sugar. Mind = blown.
3. Quest
Though it’s already a household name for its classic protein shakes, Quest has a coffee version, too! And with just 1g of sugar, at that. It packs 10g of protein, which is admittedly much less than the 30g typical of their shakes, but instead you get 200mg of caffeine on the go. They’re pretty no-frills about it, too, sticking with classic mocha and vanilla latte flavors (but keep an eye out for limited editions like last winter’s peppermint mocha!).
4. Chike
In each pack of Chike, you’re getting servings of 20g of protein, two espresso shots and 1g of sugar, good for two weeks’ worth of protein iced lattes! Plus, even though these don’t come in a can or bottle, single-serve packets make it possible to prep your daily java from the office, gym or anywhere you feel you just need a boost. (They also make protein iced tea!!!).
5. SPYLT
Maybe you enjoy caffeine without the coffee. (I don’t understand you, but I’ll allow it.) Enter: SPYLT, whose big thing isn’t coffee — it’s milk! And they do it up, with flavors like cookies & cream, strawberry, peanut butter chocolate and vanilla milkshake. They’re all somehow caffeinated and pack 20g of protein into each 11oz can, without any added sugar and just 90 calories. Got milk?
6. Invigor8
This brand is all about superfoods, so you’ll find tons of supplements like protein powder, collagen and more, but we’re looking at Invigor8's protein coffee powder. It fills you up with 25g of protein while energizing you with 100mg of caffeine. So, if I’m doing math, that means you can get 50g of protein for the same amount of caffeine as your typical grande latte from Starbucks. Score.
