Usually the Golden Globes are a night of revelry for the stars (open bar, dinner, casual atmosphere inside a swanky ballroom at the Beverly Hilton while the host makes fun of nominees). So since this year's ceremony was going to be mostly remote with no big red carpet, people at home weren't expecting much.
