13 Hotel Shows That Are Like a Mental Vacation

An action-adventure spy caper based on a John le Carré novel, Tom Hiddleston poses as the night manager at a hotel in Cairo to bring down an arms dealer. The Es Saadi Resort in Marrakesh, Morocco, stood in for the fictional Nefertiti Hotel in Cairo, Egypt, during filming. The series premiered 10 years ago, but the good news is that Season two just dropped.

Beautiful and soothing, this series about a British family running a hotel on the Italian Riviera in the 1920s is like a postcard. Natascha McElhone stars as Bella, the matriarch of the hotel, and the series was primarily filmed in Croatia.

This long-running Danish comedy follows guests and employees at a seaside hotel near Skagerrak. It was the most-watched fictional series on Danish TV and ran for 10 seasons.

Gu Won is the heir of The King Group, a luxury hotel chain in South Korea. When he meets hotelier Cheon Sa-rang, he despises her smile, but sparks still fly in this romantic comedy. The series was filmed in Thailand, South Korea, and the UK.
