1. Cakes aren't just for birthdays
We need to retire the idea that cakes are only for birthdays. If you want a cute cake, that’s reason enough. Galentine’s Day is the perfect place to start — an excuse to go all out and choose the most adorable cake you can find, no justification required. Go for heart shapes, pastel frosting, playful messages or something so pretty it almost feels wrong to cut into.
2. Galentine’s on a budget? Channel your inner creative kid.
You don’t have to break the bank for the holiday either, especially when décor can get pricey. A reliable backup is always going back to the basics with paper and scissors. Cut out pink and red hearts and personalize them however you like. They make an easy festive touch and double as sweet keepsakes you can save in your memory box later.
3. Candles that set the mood
Candles set the best ambiance and cute ones are easy to find almost anywhere. For an extra activity, invite the girls over to paint their own candle and light them during dinner. The soft, dim glow creates a cozy atmosphere no one will forget and allows for the tea to be spilled in style.
4. Sweet treats that double as decor
If you have extra time, some sweet treats go a long way. You’d be killing two birds with a cup of sugar ;) feeding your guests and having cute table decor. Anything you desire will do, cookies, brownies or cake pops. Your guests will appreciate any effort made.
5. Flowers that make It feel special
You can never go wrong with flowers. It is not as stressful as you think. Head over to your local flower shop or Trader Joe’s and pick up some basic greenery, an accent flower and a main attraction. With these, you can create around four small arrangements to fill your table.
