1. Clam Chowder: New England vs. Pike Place
New England has the gold standard of clam chowder with salty
pork, tender potatoes, and a thick, creamy base. Seattle chowder is a staple of
the Pike Place Market (and is sometimes called “Boston Chowder” on menus), but it has additions like hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce, plus it uses razor clams
instead of New England quahogs. I think we see a clear winner here…
