On Tuesday night, Netflix announced that the cast of "Father of the Bride" is reuniting this Friday, Sept. 25 at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m PT on the streaming service's YouTube and Facebook channels. The reunion will benefit World Central Kitchen, which was founded in 2010 by famed chef José Andres to provide meals in the wake of natural disasters.
It's unconfirmed just who will be in virtual attendance, but based on the teaser Netflix shared via Twitter, I'm hoping we'll at least see George Banks (Steve Martin), Annie Banks-MacKenzie (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Matty Banks (Kieran Culkin).
There have been rumors over the years about a third movie in the works, but the last we saw of George and his family was in 1995's "Father of the Bride Part II." The teaser got me thinking about what George -- the world's most change-averse person -- would be like nowadays? His youngest daughter, Meghan, would be 25, so let's pretend she'd be planning a wedding; imagine all the new things George would be completely averse to!
