1. Original Pineapple Dole Whip
The original pineapple Dole Whip was created by the Dole
Food Company in 1983 in conjunction with its sponsorship of Walt Disney World’s
Enchanted Tiki Room attraction. The real recipe is a dairy and gluten-free mix
of powder and water, made to withstand the Florida heat and comes in many
flavors, but when you think of a Dole Whip, the classic pineapple flavor probably
comes to mind. Disney released the “official” recipe in 2020 when the parks
were closed for COVID-19, but it’s definitely the original 1980s version and
not the one served in the parks today. The good news is that this simple blend
of vanilla ice crime, pineapple juice and pineapple chunks is easy to make at
home.
