1. Shark Bite
This drink is like a Water Hazzard cocktail with sharky fun because of the addition of gummy sharks and grenadine. It’s a bloody good
time and Shark Week-ready.
2. Summer Squeeze
Pineapple juice, cranberry juice and coconut rum come
together for this simple juicy drink, reminiscent of fruit punch.
3. Orange Creamsicle Margarita
This drink travels right in the orange juice jug, making it super portable.
Add coconut milk, tequila and lime juice. Shake, serve and remember those Creamsicles
from the ice cream truck.
4. Lone Ranger
Kind of a high-class backyard cocktail, mix together lemon
juice, tequila and simple syrup. Shake and top with sparkling rosé
wine.
5. Pain Killer
Tiki drinks are always good backyard drinks. Shake up rum, pineapple
juice, coconut cream and orange juice. Garnish with pineapple fronds and
nutmeg. It tastes like Hawaii in a glass.
6. Caipirinha
The late chef Anthony Bourdain was a huge fan of this
Brazilian drink. Muddle up fresh lime with cachaça and sugar, shake with ice
and dump the whole thing in a glass for a quick and dirty cocktail with only
three ingredients.
7. Hot Honey Peach Margarita
If you put hot honey on everything, you’ll love
this sweet and spicy peach margarita. Combine peach puree, tequila, Cointreau,
lime juice and honey in a shaker. But the finishing touch is a swipe of hot
honey on the rim and a sprinkle of tajin. For extra spice, add the hot honey
right to the shaker in place of the regular honey.
8. Blueberry Bramble
Brambles hail from 1980s-era London where gin, lemon and sugar
syrup are mixed together and topped with blackberry liqueur. This one makes the
most of summer fruits with homemade blueberry syrup, lots of ice and a drizzle
of crème de cassis.
9. Pineapple Paradise
This green cocktail gets its color from the combo of yellow
fruits and blue liquor. Muddle pineapple chunks with lemon, and then add dark rum,
Amaretto and blue Curaçao. Top with refreshing sparkling water.
10. Pickle Drop
Adding pickle juice to a lemon drop cocktail is strange but it
would probably pair excellently with hot dogs and hamburgers straight off the
grill.
11. Basil Daiquiri
Do you have basil growing in your herb garden? Instead of a
big bowl of pesto, batch a large cocktail instead with basil simple syrup. Mix in
a pitcher with white rum, lime juice and water and chill.
