She’s personally saved hundreds of neonatal kittens, reached thousands more through education and grants and written multiple books on neonatal kitten care, proving that even the tiniest whiskers can leave a giant mark.

5. Turbo Roo

Born without front legs, this tiny Chihuahua got his first wheelchair made from Fisher-Price helicopter wheels and toy welding kit pipes, bringing pure MacGyver energy to the rescue world. Later upgraded with custom 3D-printed wheels, TurboRoo spent his life zooming around alongside his other two-legged siblings as ambassadors for disabled pets everywhere.

6. Be Like Josh

A Goldendoodle with cerebellar hypoplasia, Josh turns every outing into a full-on adventure. Alongside his owner Kimberly Elliott, he inspires the Be Like Josh Foundation, rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs with neurological disabilities, proving that different can still be unstoppable. Josh and his team bring joy and messages of inclusion and kindness to schools and community events across the country.

7. Bubbles the Blind Beagle

Born blind, Bubbles the beagle found his forever home with Stacie Elliott and a built‑in guide and friend, Nugget. Together, they focus on disability visibility and kindness, bringing empathy and anti‑bullying messages into schools and communities with a huge dose of charm. Bubbles and Nugget have become local celebs, including receiving recognition from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department because even law enforcement knows a good boy when they see one.

8. Elias Weiss Friedman (the Dogist)

With camera in hand, Elias Weiss Friedman walks the streets capturing dogs of all breeds and backgrounds, showing off their quirks, charm and unapologetic sass. Through The Dogist Fund and related efforts, he’s helped support shelters, working dog programs and canine health initiatives, proving that a little love (and a lot of photos) can make a big impact.
