The 30 Best New TV Shows Coming This Fall And Beyond

“Parks and Rec” alums Amy Poehler and Mike Schur reteam for a new comedy. Also starring Hugh Laurie, the show follows four women on an archeological dig in Greece who discover a big secret that could change history. Geraldine Viswanathan, Fina Strazza and Antonia Thomas round out the cast.

Have you ever wondered about the origin story of Jason Vorhees, the killer from "Friday the 13th?" This horror series, starring Linda Cardellini as Jason’s grieving mom Pamela Vorhees, follows her after the drowning of her son in Crystal Lake, where it all begins.

After a long gestation, this crime drama, based on the novel by Karin Slaughter, is ready to premiere. Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy play two sisters still reeling from a night of violence 28 years later. When an attack rocks the town again, it sets off a series of shocking revelations that leave the sisters questioning everything.

The networks certainly love their reboots, and NBC has decided the time is right to revive the 1970s detective show starring James Garner as Jim Rockford. In this version, David Boreanaz plays a newly paroled, wrongly imprisoned private investigator who charms his way around L.A. but attracts the attention of both the local cops and the mob. Michaela McManus stars as an East Hollywood detective who has history with him.

A family of law enforcement agents must work together to bring down an assassin while protecting each other in this new drama series. Peter Krause is the patriarch of the Hollingsworth family and a Secret Service agent. His wife (Hope Davis) is a federal marshal while his kids are in the FBI, DOJ and Secret Service. Former First Daughter Jenna Bush Hager is listed as one of the producers.

Jamie Lee Curtis produces this comedy series about an older couple that impulsively marries, only to face friction when trying to blend their established families. Téa Leoni and Tim Daly, also real-life newlyweds, play the couple. Curtis will also guest-star.

Jake Johnson and Jane Levy star in this charming new comedy series from the cocreator of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." The concept is pretty basic — a workplace comedy about Los Angeles-based private investigators — but "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" was just about a police precinct and totally hilarious, so expectations are high.

We’re headed back to the beach with a reboot of the show about lifeguards running in slow motion. The new Baywatch will star Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, son of Mitch and Baywatch Captain. Noah Beck and Shay Mitchell also star, with an acting debut from Livvy Dunne.

Stephen Fry stars in and co-wrote this new espionage thriller about a quirky, former MI6 agent and his team of misfits who help him catch the world’s most dangerous criminals. Jenna Elfman also stars.

Jason Katims already wrote and produced several classic shows, including "Friday Night Lights, " "Parenthood," and "Roswell," so we have high hopes for his reboot of the 1980s Michael Landon show about an angel who travels around, helping those in need. Widow of Michael Landon, Cindy Landon, is one of the producers.

The baby from "Family Guy" is getting his own show. In the self-titled animated show, "Stewie," the youngest Griffin, starts a new preschool where he takes his fellow classmates on adventures through time and space. Think “The Magic School Bus,” but probably offensive.

Now that "The Boys" has ended, tune in for this spinoff series, set in the 1950s. Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash) return for a murder mystery that will be action-packed, ultra-violent and irreverent.

A spinoff of the very popular "Reacher" series, Maria Sten stars as fan-favorite Neagley, a private investigator in Chicago. When her friend is killed under suspicious circumstances, she’ll put herself at risk to uncover the truth. Alan Ritchson is also slated to guest star as Jack Reacher.

Charlie Hunnam leads this crime drama, based on a Marvel/Image comic series. In it, he plays a criminal mastermind descended from generations of crime. Richard Jenkins, Adria Arjona, Kadeem Hardison, Luke Evans and Emilia Clarke also star.

Mike Flanagan and Stephen King reteam post-“The Life of Chuck” for a series about a bullied high schooler who suddenly develops telekinetic powers. The story is updated for a modern generation and has deeper character development than previous versions. Summer Howell stars as Carrie White.

Michael B. Jordan has three projects in the works with Prime Video. First up is a biopic series on boxer Muhammad Ali called “The Greatest,” starring Jaalen Best, premiering in November 2026. Then he’s producing a series set in the Creed universe called "Delphi." Lastly, he’s producing an adaptation of "The Fourth Wing" book series, releasing sometime in the future.

Another entry in “The Rookie” universe, this series follows Alex Holland, who joins a rural Washington State police department after a violent home invasion ignites a purpose within him. Jay Ellis stars.

Headed by Oscar winners Brie Larson and Olivia Colman, this series is a psychological family thriller based on a Danish series. In it, a social worker (Colman) and a mother (Larson) go into crisis mode when the mother is accused by her daughter of abuse.

Production is underway in the place Stanley Tucci calls home. Similar to his "Tucci in Italy" series, this one will take him across his adopted homeland in search of the best foods by region.

If you loved “This Is Us,” stay tuned for Dan Fogelman’s newest series, a family football drama starring Christopher Meloni, William H. Macy and Mandy Moore. Set inside the NFL, it follows a fictionalized version of the Cleveland Browns, including the lives of owners, coaches, the general manager and players.

Lindsay Lohan, Shailene Woodley and Kit Harington star in a limited series based on the best-selling book of the same name. In it, Violet (Lohan) hires Sloan (Woodley), a compulsive liar, to be her nanny. The household is bursting with secrets of its own, leading to a volatile situation.

Once a Kate Winslet-led project, this series now stars Claire Danes as a surgeon who suspects she may be responsible for the hit-and-run death of a child. Ewan McGregor plays her husband, and the couple's relationship is tested by their search for the truth.

Based on a Harlan Coben character, this series follows Colin Woodell as Myron Bolitar, a former basketball player-turned-sports agent. In the Coben series, the plots entail everything from blackmail to murder, so expect a wild ride.

Once the subject of a New York Times podcast, this series follows the true story of stolen fentanyl at a fertility clinic, which led to excruciating egg retrievals for patients. The show is executive produced by Margot Robbie's production company, LuckyChap.

Florence Pugh plays Cathy Ames, antihero of John Steinbeck’s masterpiece multi-generational saga, in this new adaptation. Zoe Kazan wrote the script for the limited series while Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist star as members of the tragic Trask family.

The fictional, directionless great-grandson of Albert Einstein is at the center of this new series, starring Matthew Gray Gubler. In it, he helps solve crimes thanks to his brilliant, if not chaotic, mind, in a modern-day setting.

The creators of “The Good Wife,” Robert and Michelle King, are the team behind this new show, a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in California. Rachel Keller plays a young lawyer willing to take on Silicon Valley’s tech giants.

Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the duo behind “Ghosts,” created this new family comedy about a vampire couple (Ed Weeks and Allegra Edwards) in a rut after 500 years together.

Travel to upstate New York for this mystery series, based on the best-selling novel of the same name. In it, Maya Hawke (“Stranger Things”) is a young investigator searching for a thirteen-year-old-girl missing from summer camp.

Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert’s baby, Deborah, is now in college, so of course she’s the star of this reboot of the fictional Hilman College-set comedy series. Debbie Allen, director and producer of the original, will serve as executive producer and direct a handful of episodes.
