We finally have a bit of a hint at WTF Steve Trevor is doing in “Wonder Woman 1984.”
At San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, director Patty Jenkins told us that Trevor is “a very important part of our movie” and his involvement is “something I'm super excited for everybody to see.”
Not that that helps, but whatever.
What we do know is that WW84 is going to pick up post-World War I in 1980s, Cold War-era America. Diana (Gal Gadot) will face a new foe in Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) with Trevor possibly by her side. We saw this ‘80s-centric pic of Chris Pine in costume a couple of months ago, looking like he was at the mall.
Shortly after this release, Netflix’s “Stranger Things” posted a teaser about the upcoming season (something we also probably won’t get to see until 2019) set in a mall in the ‘80s.
So it got me thinking -- what if Wonder Woman existed in the same universe as “Stranger Things”? Sure, the two upcoming stories will take place a year apart -- we predict that “Stranger Things” will follow its past format and time jump a year after the events of last season to 1985 -- but let’s pretend Diana finds her way to Indiana.
Here are some possible scenarios that Diana and Steve could find themselves in were they to exist alongside the “Stranger Things” fam.
