As talk of tension between the houses of Cambridge and Sussex continues, Kensington Palace released Christmas cards on behalf of each family this morning. And yes, they are dazzling.
William and Kate's photo, taken at their country home Anmer Hall by photographer Matt Porteous, features the couple with their three children -- George, 5, Charlotte, 3, and Louis, eight months. Look at his tiny baby grip on Kate's sweater!!!!
(P.S. -- Things were just as beautiful in last year's Christmas card. Minus Louis. Sorry, little dude.)
Harry and Meghan's photo was taken during the fireworks display at their May wedding reception by Chris Allerton. It's interesting to note that William and Kate did not make their first Christmas card as husband and wife public back in 2011.
The two households will eventually split, given that both William and Harry's families (and jobs as working royals) are growing. William will one day be heir to the throne and then king, so this change was bound to happen.
As for talk of rifts and tears and anger and whatnot, take what you read with a grain of salt. While the saying, "where there's smoke, there's fire" rings true, not every story printed is exactly that.
