ATTENTION: There’s a national shortage of White
Claw Hard Seltzer and we’re all freaking out. In our defense, the weather is still lovely and there's no sign of a Pumpkin Spice-scented chill in the air, so what are we
to do?
White Claw acknowledged on Friday they were having
difficulty getting their product in the hands of distributors, but assured us
they are working on a solution. "We are working around the clock to increase supply given the rapid growth in consumer demand," White Claw's senior vice president of marketing told CNN. "White Claw has accelerated faster than anyone could have
predicted."
It makes sense that the product is running so low, given that it was a staple at nearly every beach and
pool party in the country this past summer. The beverage is not only topping other hard seltzer brands
like Truly and Smirnoff, but it claims to have outsold Budweiser in July, thanks in part to its fruity flavors and 100-calorie content. They are very refreshing and drinkable (a little too drinkable sometimes), but keep your bathing-suit body
in check. In short, White Claw is the perfect warm weather beverage.
The panic was obvious on Twitter as word spread of the
possible shortage:
Luckily, some fans have presented alternatives to get us through this trying time:
Alas, when we have nice things, the haters come out to ruin the fun (or to drive us away so that there's more for them):
