The cable network that brought you "The Real Housewives of HotGarbageVille" announced a new reality show today, although this one might be the antidote viewers so badly need.
"Welcome to Waverly" takes seven professionals living in cities across the country and plops them in Waverly, Kan. Population: 563. The aim of the series is to break down assumptions about small towns vs. cities and what each represents in the hopes of finding common ground.
Actual Bravo viewer reaction:
We're intrigued. Let's meet the cast!
Zachary Morad, a Los Angeles-based hairdresser who refers to himself as a "Barbie Boy," and Trenice Crawford, a nail technician and retired combat medic from Savannah, are just a few of the people willing to take a giant leap out of their comfort zone. Lamar Moore, a personal chef from Chicago, joined the cast to show others that "food is a universal cure for a lot of issues. It allows you to take yourself away for a moment from all the seriousness, have a seat at the table and eat."
The four-night limited series premieres Monday, Oct. 22 at 10:00 p.m. EST on Bravo.
