Today marks 75 years since Germany surrendered to the Allied Force, officially ending World War II. There is a name for today: VE Day -- which stands for "Victory in Europe Day." On this day in 1945, Prime Minister Winston Churchill gave a speech to Britons announcing the end of the war, after which they took to the streets for one helluva celebration.
