The holidays are right around the corner, which means it's high time to get your *ss in gear buying presents for your loved ones. If you're anything like me, that means purchasing a new wall calendar that Mom and Dad can hang in their kitchen or offices. Unsure what to get your boss? How about a nice 2019 desk calendar? Sure, most people use digital calendars these days, but if you invest in this calendar from the Vancouver Police Department, it becomes the gift that keeps on giving.
Vancouver's K9 police unit has created a 2019 calendar featuring all of the four-legged members of the force, showcasing the officers with their canine partners posing in various parts of the city.
As if buying a calendar featuring these doggos wasn't good enough, all proceeds go to the BC Cancer Foundation and the BC Children's Hospital Foundation. I am unsure what makes me swoon more, the dogs or the charity.
A photo from the calendar was shared on Reddit last night, prompting VPD's website to shut down from all the traffic. "You guys might need a lot more calendars...," one Twitter user joked when the police department tweeted about the technical issues. Luckily, the website is up and running again and calendars are only $15. Merry Christmas to us!
