Dogs and mailmen: It's literally a better love story than any Disney tale out there. Need proof?
Sorry not sorry, any of this "research" about dogs hating mailmen is absolute nonsense. And if you need further evidence, just ask Jay.
The UPS driver from Louisiana noticed that, when he switched to a new delivery route, the resident pups were so much more friendly. So, he did what any functioning human with a heart would do: He started lovin' all up on them and documenting it.
"I realized they would let you pick them up and pet them," he told INSIDER. "So I guess maybe a few years ago I started throwing up a dog on it every week. Just a cute pup."
They are, indeed, very cute pups.
He's even got a full content strategy behind the dog photos, in which he does about one post a week, typically around 6 p.m. on Fridays right when everyone's heading home for the weekend -- kind of a pick-me-up for the end of a long week.
"I don't have the time to take care of a dog," he said. "That's why I play with other people's when I can."
Still not enough for you? Lo and behold, an entire Facebook page exists solely to post about the intimate relationships between various mailmen and the dogs along their routes, per the Huffington Post last year. Created by a UPS worker himself, Sean McCarren talked about the bond of (mail)man's best friend.
"It’s cool to meet some of the same dogs on the route, because they know who you are and they are excited to see you," he said.
Thinking of all the pets these guys are getting just makes me so happy. Keep up with Jay and his dog friends by following #PupsOfJay on Instagram.
