Browning, inspired by something she had seen on TikTok with a wooden dollhouse, found one of those plastic Fisher-Price Little People dollhouses at a thrift shop and bought it for $8. Inspiration struck, she got some black matte paint and got to work.
Once the house was painted, she also channeled her inner "kindergartener," as she called it, and made "stained glass" out of tissue paper to accent some of the windows.
The finished product is breathtaking, going from an unused children's toy to a dollhouse of nightmares.
Browning then acquired more dollhouses on Facebook Marketplace
for prices ranging from $1 to $25. Browning thought the pricier dollhouses "were worth the money because the designs were
really beautiful." As she’s been working on this DIY
project, her plans for them are getting more sophisticated, and she’s really
focusing in on the detail work. Check out the bushes, trees and even interior painting.
Browning did photoshoots of all her projects in progress and posted them on Facebook.
