In excess, summer weddings are repetitive.
As a former caterer for weddings, I can tell you honestly that nearly every wedding is the same. Sure, it means something special to those who know the newlyweds (and of course to those actually getting married), but the format of a wedding never really changes.
When you go to your first summer wedding, it's exciting and fresh. But by the third or fourth one, the predictability becomes a bit more apparent. You'll find yourself comparing hors d'oeuvres to those of the last one (Another watermelon summer salad? Really?) and shaking your head at the lack of an open bar. You might even find yourself reciting the vows before the happy couple does.
