On Nov. 22, Emma Baum posted a video she took of a fellow passenger's political rant on her Delta flight from Atlanta, GA to Allentown, PA.
"Donald Trump, baby,” the man yelled as he pointed at others on the plane, applauding anyone who voted for the president-elect and insulting those who voted for his opponent.
“We got some Hillary bitches on here? Come on, baby. Trump!” the man continued. "That's what I'm talkin' about."
“Donald Trump is your president, every goddamn one of yas,” he said. “If you don’t like it, too bad.”
No one is sure what provoked the tirade, but one Facebook user suggested "a combination of alcohol and a gene pool gone bad."
The man wasn't escorted off the flight, but when Delta's CEO Ed Bastian learned what happened, he issued a statement to the company.
"The individual displayed behavior that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers. He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane."
Additionally, the airline issued an apology on Nov. 26, stating that the man "should not have been allowed to continue on the flight."
“Our responsibility for ensuring all customers feel safe and comfortable with Delta includes requiring civil behavior from everyone."
“The behavior we see in this video does not square with our training or culture and follow up will continue so we can better ensure our employees will know they will be fully supported to make the right decisions when these issues arise.”
