1. Hôtel de Glace (Quebec City, Canada)
From personal experience, I would 10/10 recommend Quebec City during the holidays. Old Quebec City feels like stepping into another time, and their decor is top notch -- just be sure to bundle up well. For your "Frozen" fix, though, head to this ice hotel. Made entirely out of ice and snow and erected differently every year (since, you know, it melts), the hotel is outfitted with themed suites, an ice bar, ice slide and plenty of room to explore.
Though ice hotels can be found in lots of freezing destinations, it's this hotel, specifically, that inspired Elsa's ice castle. "There is something elusive and ethereal about it, because the icy surface from floor up the walls to the ceiling makes you feel like you are on a cloud or in some kind of Never Land in a way," Mike Giaimo, the art director for "Frozen," said, according to D23. "We were very inspired by that and wanted to bring that into the ice palace."
