1. ICEHOTEL, Sweden
The oldest frozen hotel was built in 1989 and is erected every year from ice blocks harvested from the River Torne. International ice artists fly in from all around the world to get a chance to design one of the suites (always with a theme), and the details go all the way down to the ice plates their food is served on.
