Although I've always considered myself a morning person, even I can't deny that I sometimes have a hard time getting out of bed for work in the morning. Who doesn't, right? No matter how much you may enjoy your job, we'd all love to stay in bed for a few extra hours when the blankets are toasty and you finally got your pillows just right. My body clock naturally wakes me up by 7 a.m. each morning, but being awake and physically getting out of bed are two very different things.
In the past, I've managed to train myself to be the kind of person who wakes up at the crack of dawn for a quick workout before showering and heading to the office. The older I get, though, the harder that has become. Working out is great, but I just can't seem to find the desire to do it in the morning, especially when my cats are so cuddly in the a.m. hours. This almost always leads to guiltily hitting the snooze button and rolling over, silently hating myself for being lazy but not having enough will power to actually get up. If I were to wager a bet, I'd say that I'm not alone in this sentiment.
I recently had an epiphany during my a.m. routine that has completely changed the flow of not only my morning but also my entire day after only a few days. I've been able to start the day more productive than usual and have even found myself needing less coffee throughout the day. Yes, really!
