Summer is only as good as the friends you make and the tunes you jam to. Disagree with me? Then I suggest you take a gander at Spotify's latest personalized playlist that is guaranteed to bump your next beach day or backyard BBQ up a few notches. It's OK -- embrace all the compliments you're about to get on your superb music taste and get ready to start sharing that playlist link with anyone and everyone.
The magical playlist I speak of is Spotify's "Your Summer Rewind," a list specially curated with 50 "old summer favorites" that you definitely forgot existed (but definitely still know all the words to).
The best part about this playlist is that unlike the Time Capsule of last fall, this one includes both newish and old tracks. For example, my Summer Rewind has a song from Lorde's "Melodrama" that came out last summer, but also Mike Jones' "Badd" from 2005 (and I am not even a little bit embarrassed).
For your listening pleasure, please take a glimpse into my ~summer vibes~ of yesteryear.
Although I think my Summer Rewind is pretty GD fantastic, many Twitter users disagree. The general theme seems to be that many songs on users' playlists remind them of failed flings of summers past. And let's be honest -- no one wants that.
Others, like me, are really feelin' it. Good job, self.
To find your Summer Rewind, simply click on the "Browse" tab in Spotify's menu bar, under "Genres & Moods" click on "Summer" and "Your Summer Rewind" should be ready and waiting for you. Or, you know, just listen to mine because it's straight fire. I'll see myself out.
