Well, it looks like Snapchat's coveted Spectacles are going to the dogs! No, that does not mean these camera-equipped sunglasses will be easier to get your hands on. It just means that there is quite literally a dog out there rocking some Spectacles because this is 2016 and there's nothing people today love more than dogs and trendy tech (ourselves included).
Super Deluxe managed to get a pair of Spectacles when they came out this week, but the company decided to test them out in an unexpected way by putting them on a dog. The result reminds us of Dug the Golden Retriever from "Up" and it's cute as heck.
If you want to see life through your own dog's eyes, good luck. Right now, Spectacles are being sold exclusively through pop-up vending machines that only stay in a location for 24 hours. So far, these vending machines have been found in California and Oklahoma, but Snap Inc. promises more are coming. If you're hoping to snag a pair of Spectacles if and when the Snapbot vending machine comes to your area, act fast! Hours-long lines have been reported at the bots and once the glasses are gone, they're gone.
The sunglasses, which record 10-second videos that can then be uploaded to Snapchat, go for $130 and come in three colors: teal, coral and black. But since they're so sought after, Spectacles are going for thousands of dollars on eBay right now. Imagine how much kibble this dog could buy for that!
