The cover of your scrapbook could dictate the whole vibe of your masterpiece! It could be something minimalistic to match any and all life events, or something super specific, like a travel scrapbook with a world map on the front.
Don't limit yourself! If your scrapbook comes with rings, get a sleeve of extra pages to add to it as the years go on.
Scrapbook stickers are the best part of the whole craft, hands down. There are stickers for everything: pets, kids, food, careers, all of it! You can tell you story completely in photos and stickers, so get into some good ones.

Have some sheets of thick paper in a variety of colors on hand to use as backdrops for photos, stickers or other embellishments. It'll add some awesome dimension to your pages!
Whether you choose to use white glue, a gluestick or good ol' tape, this is an obvious necessity.

Corners, too, can add interesting dimensions to the photos you add to your scrapbook pages, plus they give it a vintage-y kind of feel.
