Even though its six seasons have come to an end, "Schitt's Creek" will live on in all of our memories, memes, "A Little Bit Alexis" remixes and Moira Rose impressions. The iconic series has exceeded our expectations more than a few times, from its sensitive and inclusive LGBTQ+ representation to a number of historical Emmy wins, and I'm sure we won't soon forget the Rose family.
It seems that no matter the topic, there's always a "Schitt's Creek" reference to be made, and the holiday season has only increased the potential -- I can't be the only one who's purchased some kind of Moira "Santa bébé" merch this month. And I can only hope that you've seen this "A Little Bit Christmas" TikTok.
The latest "Schitt's Creek" internet goodness comes directly from the masterminds behind the infamous town. Series digital producer Calum Shanlin shared a video compilation that resulted in a performance of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" using well-placed, edited clips from the show's episodes, interspersed with some festive series b-roll. It's seamless.
Background music from Carey's royalty-laden single is played under the clips, and my personal favorite part is how they pulled the final "you" from David (Dan Levy)'s wedding vows -- yes, I choose that over Moira's resounding "bébé."
While the video stands on its own as a masterpiece of holiday joy, it's made even better by a thumbs-up from the Christmas queen herself. CommentsByCelebs caught Mariah's response to the video (written in the comments on Levy's repost of Shanlin's creation), and she pretty much had the same reaction as us.
"I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it!!! Did I mention I love it? LOL ❤️❤️❤️," Carey wrote.
What's more precious than a Mariah Carey endorsement during the Christmas season?
