Every Good Friday since 1876 -- with the exception of the Blitz during World War II -- the Royal Choral Society has performed Handel's "Messiah" at the Royal Albert. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that's forced non-essential workers to remain at home, the choral society decided that the show must go on...it would just go on from home.
"Due to COVID-19, the 2020 performance [at the Royal Albert Hall] had to be canceled," the caption on the organization's YouTube channel read. "However, determined to keep this tradition alive, the Royal Choral Society found a way to sing together from isolation..."
