Silver fox Rob Lowe turned 55 this St. Patrick's Day, and in case you haven't been following the actor/director, here's a reminder of what he looks like...at 55.
Lowe recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight where they showed him an interview he did with them at just 19 years old. Safe to say the man was just as hunky as a young dude and wise beyond his years.
"Once you reach a certain level where you've done a few films, then it's a real trap if you start taking yourself too seriously. It's fine in the beginning, but then once you've done some work, then it's time to lighten up and have fun with it," the then-teenaged Lowe said about fame (after stating that he didn't "have all that much control over" being every young woman's dream man and needing to change his phone number).
What's striking about the interview from 1983, though, is that I wouldn't put that much time between 19-year-old and 55-year-old Rob. In response to seeing the footage after all these years, he told ET, "I'm just freaked out because it looks like it's one of my kids talking. It's freaky!"
And, yes, Lowe's sons Matthew and John are equally chiseled.
But after gawking at his teenaged self, Lowe talked about how he keeps in such great shape (besides genetics -- his dad also looks great for 80). Turns out, he's really into his health and eats right -- imagine that!
"I've been doing the low-carb Atkins lifestyle forever," he said. "They invented the low carb thing, so that's really helpful."
Sounds like Lowe's character on "Parks and Recreation," Chris Traeger, wasn't a far cry from the health-focused lifestyle he actually leads.
So, basically, we can assume that Chris Traeger will indeed be the first man to live to 150 years old, and he will look exactly the same as he did when "Parks and Rec" ended. Per science.
