Yesterday a photo was released of the Queen recording her annual Christmas broadcast at Windsor Castle, which will air in the U.K. at 3:00 p.m. GMT tomorrow.
The photo is causing a bit of a stir online because the framed pictures on the Queen's desk only feature Prince Charles' and Prince William's families. Where are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son, who was born this past May?
There are a few theories here: The first is that the released photo is a tight shot, and in years past a wider one provided more room to showcase several framed photos of family members.
Another theory is that Harry and Meghan (and especially Archie) will take pride of place in the Queen's broadcast tomorrow. Odds are there will be a special mention of his birth as a highlight in an otherwise "bumpy" year, as Her Majesty will mention tomorrow, according to the Daily Mail.
What is true and will remain consistent as time marches on is that Charles and William (and William's children) are the heirs to the throne. For their photos to be situated next to the Queen's father on her desk symbolizes the past, present and future of the British monarchy.
If you'd like to watch the Queen's Christmas message tomorrow, it will be posted to YouTube after airing in the U.K.
