Harry and Meghan are now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and their wedding has turned into an international affair. The town of Windsor is overflowing, and U.S. viewers set their alarms bright and early to watch the royal union. Besides Meghan’s gorgeous dress, the celebrity guests with their fascinators and Prince Harry’s adorable display of emotion during the ceremony, there was more to witness -- namely, our favorite little princess.
Princess Charlotte, one of the children included in the ceremony as part of Meghan’s bridal party, arrived at St. George’s Chapel with her mother, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. Kate herself, just a few weeks post giving birth to Prince Louis, didn’t have a specific part to play in the wedding. Instead, it seems she used Charlotte’s moment in the spotlight to get some more princess training in.
As Kate ascended the steps with Charlotte on her left, we can see the princess turning around as she walks, clearly fascinated by the press watching them, cameras flashing and crowds cheering.
Kate, noticing her daughter’s distraction, pauses, dips down and has a chat with Charlotte, who promptly and super excitedly turns with her -- improving! -- waving hand at the ready, seemingly at her mother’s direction.
Charlotte obviously loves all the camera attention -- she was a showstopper on her way to visit her baby brother in April -- and it looks like Kate took this opportunity to give her a chance to practice getting that royal wave down -- just like Meghan has learned.
