Do You Wish Your Employer Offered Puppy PTO? Well, Good News

In an era where maternity leave is too short and paternity leave barely exists, it seems trivial that employers are offering pawternity leave, yet here we are. The policy is exactly what it sounds like: Employees are given time off from work to stay home and care for and bond with a new fur baby. Obviously, this sounds great on the surface (no work and playing with a puppy all day long?!), and keeping an eye on a young puppy is crucial to the training process, but there are, of course, some footnotes. Like, it's only about a week off total and isn't always paid leave.
