Here's some light news for you: The USPS is rolling out a newly-designed mail truck. In an announcement earlier this week, the postal service revealed images of their "next generation delivery vehicle," a fleet of which will hit the road by 2023. Postal workers will be delivering your mail from inside one of these updated vehicles that feature capabilities for electric engine technologies, 360-degree cameras and increased cargo capacity.
What they didn't mention was how stinkin' adorable these cars would be.
There's just something about these mail wagons that has really got Twitter going -- the whole internet is ready to lay down and die for a mail truck.
There are, of course, those who have chosen to instead bully the car. But they're also correct, so.
In all seriousness, these new trucks are, apparently, a welcome upgrade for the USPS, whose current trucks are 30 years old and don't have heat or air conditioning, according to the Washington Post's Jacob Bogage.
