This year’s TV Upfront Presentations are like a game of musical chairs. The networks are rolling out their fall schedules to advertisers and NBC has been busy adding new titles to its lineup. The network is doubling down on what it calls “alternative programming,” with more variety and sports competition shows. And of course, they are bringing back “This Is Us” and a bunch of shows starting with “Chicago.” In the wake of the successful “Jesus Christ Superstar Live,” it's a surprise that no musicals were announced, though there are two music-themed specials coming soon.
