Patty Jenkins made “Wonder Woman” into a cinematic experience unlike anything the DC franchise had done in the past. J.K. Rowling is showing the world that she’s not a one-trick pony with the “Fantastic Beasts” films. And Greta Gerwig is bursting onto the directorial scene with a remake of “Little Women” due out next Christmas -- and that’s following the Oscar-nominated “Lady Bird.”
Suffice to say, behind-the-scenes females in Hollywood are not messing around any longer.
