1. "Come What May" Wasn't Originally Written For "Moulin Rouge!"

"Come What May" -- the film's only original song -- was ruled out of Oscar contention since it was actually written for Baz Luhrman's 1996 version of "Romeo + Juliet." Oscar rules state that any songs considered for nomination must be written for the film they're attached to.
