Even if you don't know Mona May's name, you know her work. The costume designer has dressed some of your favorite characters over the past couple of decades, including on the sets of "Never Been Kissed," "The Wedding Singer," "Clueless," "Romy & Michele's High School Reunion," "The House Bunny" and "Enchanted." Anything that Cher Horowitz to Gisele have worn that you've fallen in love with is courtesy of May and her artistic vision.
And now, she's taking that vision to Thrilling.
An online marketplace dedicated to mining the best pieces from boutiques across the country, Thrilling sells vintage and secondhand clothing, jewelry, accessories and more at affordable price points -- supporting small businesses all the while.
Today, May and Thrilling announced their partnership on Instagram, unveiling a collection called "Refashion! Remix! Repeat!: The Future of Sustainable Fashion" full of patterned plaids, bright tights and statement bags to satisfy all of our '90s style needs. The pieces were all sourced from diverse, female-owned businesses, which is something May is passionate about, inspired by her costume work on those now-classic films.
"I wanted to celebrate individuality and inclusivity, plus show you that you can have so much FUN with sustainable fashion," May said on Instagram of the collection.
"Join us on this deliciously fun journey exploring the world of secondhand through Mona May's eyes -- an explosion of color, a celebration of personality, and the unexpected mixing and matching of patterns and styles. In other words, signature Mona May," Thrilling said on Instagram.
