All mothers want the absolute best for their kids -- that includes having the absolute best babysitter they can find to watch the rugrats when Mom and Dad need a break. Well, one Kansas mother, Amy, made a little bit of a mistake while keeping an eye on her current babysitter.
Sarah Holder, a high school student from Overland Park, Kan., regularly watches Amy's kids. While Sarah was driving around her neighborhood enjoying a delicious taquito one Sunday, Amy's husband Randy thought he saw her doing something that isn't exactly kid approved -- smoking a cigar.
Randy, obviously shocked that the family's high school-aged babysitter would be caught smoking, immediately texted Amy to tell her what he saw. The worried mother quickly texted Sarah, informing her that she knew what was up and that she did not appreciate Sarah setting such a bad example for the kids in the neighborhood.
Fortunately for Sarah and her fragile reputation as the friendly neighborhood babysitter, she was simply eating a deep-fried cheesy tortilla when Randy saw her. So, unless Amy was hoping to keep her kids away from the terribly "bad habit" of Mexican food, she really had nothing to worry about.
"My whole neighborhood gossiping about my 'smoking habit' ....," Sarah joked on Twitter where she shared the hilarious mix-up.
“I feel bad because in my opinion [my neighbor] is crazy nice and I get where she’s coming from,” Sarah told BuzzFeed News. “She hasn’t responded, I’m assuming out of embarrassment.”
Here's hoping that Amy eventually responds to Sarah and shares the response with the world.
