This year’s Met Gala featured one of the most interesting themes yet: Catholicism, which had celebs wearing styles inspired by religious figures and pieces of art. Ariana Grande wore a dress depicting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel; Rihanna looked positively papal. But sorry ladies, no one’s outfit can top Bogie or Kimba’s.
That is, Anthony Rubio’s chihuahuas.
Rubio, a pet curator who has years of fashion experience, was the first designer to showcase his pet pieces at New York Fashion Week and has been featured in publications like TIME, Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour.
Rubio told the New York Post that most of the Met designs took him about three-to-five days -- nothing compared to the 600-plus hours it took Versace to create Blake Lively’s insanely gorgeous gown -- but it was a week before he could recreate each portrayal of the Virgin Mary on Stella Maxwell’s Moschino.
