Another week, another fabricated story about Meghan Markle and her new in-laws.
The newest tale comes from In Touch Weekly, which claims that the Queen has added an addendum to her will so that it includes the Duchess of Sussex. This doesn't fly with the Queen's kids and grandkids.
"The way some of them see it," a source told the tabloid, "Meghan will be inheriting money that should be theirs."
Prince Charles is reportedly worried about the huge mess this update will cause, which is fair considering he would inherit it.
"He believes that the queen should get to know Meghan more before making any rash decisions," the source added. "He's accused his mother of thinking with her heart, not her head."
Apparently Her Majesty's will doesn't include the Duchess of Cornwall, so this will be a real kick in the teeth if Meghan gets money or a piece of jewelry and Camilla gets nada.
"That will sting," the source helpfully pointed out. Yes, I imagine it would.
And don't even get the Duchess of Cambridge started; she is "secretly jealous that the queen is giving Meghan preferential treatment." The source added that Catherine feels "left in Meghan's shadow" because the Queen "makes time to see" her grandson's new wife "as often as she can."
Then there's Prince Andrew, who is already angry at Charles for pushing him and his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to the sidelines. This issue has been ongoing ever since William and Catherine's wedding, so it's probably the only part of the story with a kernel of truth.
While the Queen likely has a will for her family, talk of favoritism/adding someone and leaving another off is not really Her Majesty's style. I'd sooner believe she will leave everything to her horses and remaining corgis. Think of how lovely a filly would look wearing the Queen's favorite tiara.
