Would "Titanic" Have Been the Same if Matthew McConaughey Had Played Jack?
In a recent interview for The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast, Matthew McConaughey revealed that he auditioned to play opposite Kate Winslet in "Titanic." Obviously, the role ultimately went to Leonardo DiCaprio. But imagine how different the film would have been if McConaughey had gotten it.
“I wanted that,” he said. “I auditioned with Kate Winslet. Had a good audition. Walked away from there pretty confident that I had it. I didn’t get it. I never got offered that.”
