Mariah Carey has been all over social media lately, responding to fans and encouraging all the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" content that emerges this time of year. We can't blame her for ramping up the engagement (get them royalties, Mariah!), but even she reserves the right to a little roasting.
Kyle Blaine, a senior editor for CNN, posted a photo of a Christmas ornament his husband had gifted him ahead of the holiday this year. It looks like a ceramic version of Mariah's pose from her "Merry Christmas" album cover, where the iconic single hails from.
Unfortunately, Carey was not impressed in the slightest.
To be fair, the paint job on this thing could be much better. One of ornament Mariah's eyes is barely even painted on, and the smile is a bit wan. The rest of the ornament is actually very cute, with sparkly fur along the trim of her dress and the addition of a Santa hat, but overall we have to agree with Carey -- this ain't it.
While this ornament won't get anyone to the top of Mariah Carey's nice list this year, there are lots of other "All I Want for Christmas Is You" items out there that should satisfy the Christmas queen.
