Maren Morris didn't just appear at the Country Music Awards last night -- she owned it. The singer-songwriter, who took home the award for Album of the Year for her second album, "GIRL," stampeded her fellow country stars with eight -- count 'em, eight -- nominations to her name. The accomplishment rounds out a fantastic year for Morris, who, on top of having just about wrapped a world tour complete with the formation of girl group The Highwomen with Brandi Carlisle and Amanda Shires, recently announced her pregnancy with artist Ryan Hurd.
The baby, a boy due in March 2020, will be Morris and Hurd's first; the two took to social media last month to share the happy news.
So, when it was time for Morris to debut her bump on the red carpet -- and on stage -- at the CMAs, homegirl did not disappoint. She first appeared in a baby blue Honayda two-piece, the high-waisted skirt of which gave us big Cinderella ball gown vibes and accentuated her mini bump in the best way. The powder hue was an obvious nod to her bun in the oven.
"I think the combination of color and the lines are what made the look so perfect for the occasion," the designer told PEOPLE. "She was looking for a piece that embraces her pregnancy and that modestly reveals her baby bump. The cropped bomber shows a part of her bump while the long voluminous skirt hides another part of it. The look totally matches her fun personality with a very glamorous feel."
After the red carpet, Morris joined superstar hosts Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood (as well as an ensemble of Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker and Gretchen Wilson) with her Highwomen to open the show in a historical performance. She wore another two-piece, this time black and sparkly that gave her some hips.
During her solo performance of the titular single "GIRL," Morris changed yet again into a CONG TRI white minidress with dramatic sleeves. She made it a point to hold her belly while she sang, and I'll say it -- it was cute.
Her final look made an appearance when she took the stage to accept her Album of the Year award; it was a riff on her performance dress, white with puff sleeves and a short, feathered skirt.
This mama-to-be is a fashionista yet!
