Potato chips are great; they come in all kinds of flavors, go great with dip and are pretty much unlimited at Mexican restaurants. But we all know that when we buy a bag of chips at the store, you’re getting less bang for your buck. Half the bag is usually empty, right? I know, I know -- it’s all about leaving space to prevent damage to the precious cargo and filling ‘er up with nitrogen gas to actually keep the chips crispy. And that’s fine.
But what Twitter user Xavier, a filmmaker at USC Cinematic Arts, didn’t expect to find in his half bag of chips, among the other “chippy bois,” was a full potato.
The thread of tweets goes on to tell Xavier’s story of heading back to his local Trader Joe’s to show the managers, without gripe or agenda, his potato. The employees, surprisingly, believed his story and gave him a new bag of chips. Great!
But still -- man found a full potato in his bag of chips. Whatever the reason -- be it a manufacturing error or disgruntled employee, as Xavier suspects -- it’s still ridiculous and beyond comical. It also sparked others to share what they’ve found in their bags of chips and the like besides the obvious.
This is better than finding potato chips that look like celebrities, that’s for sure.
