I'll be the first to admit that I plow through notebooks at what some might consider an economically infeasible pace. In my defense, taking notes by hand is much more effective and it allows you to doodle, which in turn helps you focus. But this is the 21st century -- there has to be a middle ground where we can all save money while still being able to write by hand.
The Everlast notebook just might be the answer to my compulsive note-taking prayers. It pledges to be the "one smart, reusable notebook to last the rest of your life," according to Rocketbook, the company behind the notebook. And they sure aren't kidding. Everlast is the perfect combination of old-fashioned, handwritten note-taking and modern technology.
The secret is the paper in the notebook. Although it feels like normal paper, it's actually made of a polyester composite and when you write on it with the recommended Pilot FriXion pens (which you can buy at any office supply store), the ink dries just like ink usually dries. But the paper's unique makeup allows you to magically erase everything with a damp paper towel.
As if that isn't cool enough, the Everlast notebook is compatible with the Rocketbook app, which allows you to scan your notes with your phone and instantly upload the pages to the cloud. You don't even need to get a straight picture of the notebook; the app will adjust your notes itself!
There are seven little symbols at the bottom of each page, which indicate a different cloud location that you choose. So if you want to send your work notes to Slack, set the diamond icon to Slack and mark the diamond at the bottom of your work notes. To send your grocery list to Google Drive, designate that app as the bell icon and mark that icon on your lists. It's really that simple.
The Everlast is now available on Amazon.
