Justin Willman is responsible for breaking up families -- and he’s OK with that.
The magician, comedian and television host is known for his magic trick antics from the Nerdist show “Magic Meltdown,” a series that started on YouTube that has Willman take to the streets to work his magic, so to speak, on the unsuspecting public.
He’s most recently become a novelty after the release of Netflix’s “Magic For Humans,” where Willman, over six bingeable episodes, fuses magic with comedy to unpack human tendency and technology. In one of the episodes, Willman is able to convince a bystander that they’ve turned invisible. It’s completely ridiculous, obviously, but part of Willman’s draw is his ability to make people question everything they’ve ever known.
After seeing this video, Twitter users went ahead and tried their own Magic For Humans challenge. Most of the recipients are young children, since it’s of course easier to trick the exceptionally innocent. The results are hilarious at worst and borderline evil at best.
The best part of the trick comes from taking a photo of the “invisible” prankee with another person. It perfectly freaks them out, when in reality the photo was just staged before the prank began.
Be cautious, though -- you don’t want to take this too far on a young kid like user Makayla Cunningham did.
Nobody’s safe in the age of Twitter trends.
