One of the perks of being a little kid is that you can really wear whatever you want, and no one's going to judge you for it. They may judge your parents, depending on how bizarre the ensemble is, but for the most part, people know how kids are: Princess dresses to the grocery store? No problem. Spider-Man onesie to go to the park? Encouraged! Mandalorian mask to pick out Christmas decorations? Why the heck not.
That's exactly what Raena Granberry said when her 5-year-old daughter, Justice, got ready to head to craft store Michaels.
As we're all too aware eight-plus months into a global pandemic, protective face masks are required in most indoor public spaces...which is what Granberry meant when she asked Justice to get ready. She had her little space bounty hunter put on a legitimate mask, but Justice was still keen on going as the Mandalorian -- even if her Peppa Pig outfit didn't necessarily match.
Granberry's tweet has gone viral since sharing over the weekend, even catching the eyes of a few special someones. Both Pedro Pascal, who plays the Mandalorian in the Disney+ series, and Daniel Logan, who has appeared as Mandalorian-adjacent character Boba Fett in a few "Stars Wars" films, tweeted their appreciation of Justice's fanfare.
The entire Granberry family is hooked on all things "Star Wars," and Justice even went as Rey Skywalker for Halloween this year, who she told Buzzfeed News is her favorite character.
"She has a sword," Justice said. "She has a lightsaber, and she has this little robe around her costume so it can protect her. And she lives in the wild."
As the Mandalorians would say, "This is the way."
