When Nirvana appeared on MTV's "Unplugged" in November 1993, no one expected that the guitar Kurt Cobain strummed on stage would become such a hot commodity. After the musician passed less than six months later, though, the instrument became a highly-coveted piece of memorabilia. Despite being embroiled in legal battles between Cobain's widow Courtney Love, daughter Frances Bean Cobain and ex-son-in-law Isaiah Silva, the guitar went up for auction this past weekend and sold for record-breaking highs.
